A hopeful fight

Fèlix Cucurull

Antoni Miró is a great artist who connects with reality and, by overcoming it, denounces everything that impedes him; everything that turns life into a kind of nightmare for most of the inhabitants of our planet; a nightmare that crushes the dream wanting to go in search of paradise -of a different sort of paradise.

Among dream and nightmare, Antoni Miró manipulates the shape, the colour, and a discovery of images is being placed before us to please our eyes and explode in our blood as a sign of fight. Our pain and hope are shared with him and the path becomes less tiresome although fleeting so that time flies in a bottomless pit. Art is now and for now; it is a battle of hope and pain. Time does not matter; the shape, colour and light are boundless as well as blood beat. Nothing can be eternal except the space which remains unchangeable. Everything is over.

Antoni Miró's posters can be as everlasting as chisel marble, as bronze. They are a cry of the penetrating and advancing moment we live by crossing precipices and breaking boundaries.
