Antoni Miró sets out a chronicle –and a critique- of the historical data controlling us: the oppression (formal or structural), the wars, the revolutions, the racial segregations. In other cases, the chronicle refers to more subtle forms of that oppression: the alienating myths, the technological tricks, the mind control of human abilities (love pondered in erotic consumerism, for example).

The critical efficiency of Miró’s work stems from his system of signs used in his representations. “Pop”, modulations from the kinetic art or optical experiences, the use of frame printing and “comic” graphics are brought together to our eyes becoming our visual code, that of our technical and accessible days. In Miró’s work, he shows visual “qualities” which are, precisely, distinctive and characteristic of the society we question.
