Lluís Companys (2010-2012) Subseries
It is like a silent cry for Catalan nationality. A memory that the painter, Antoni Miró establishes, through graphic work, of the President Lluís Companys, victim of repression during the Spanish Civil War. The geometrical perspective softens the outlines, and the continent, or composited territory, elevates to facilitate the precise reading of the underlying message. It is a memory, yes, an homage, also, but, especially, a will of compensating the injustice that the lack of freedom has offered us. The tricolor brushes denote and connote the irreducible vocation of the artist Antoni Miró.
